From the early 1970s to the present, she has bought, owned, and sold over one hundred originals. She estimates that she has exhibited over three hundred works at her California galleries: La Galeria (1972–1985) and the Alma Gilbert Galleries (1987–1996). In 1993, she purchased a portion of Parrish’s New Hampshire estate, The Oaks, where the above photograph was taken.

  • I like Maxfield Parrish's Art. This collection of posters is very nice for the most part. However the colors printed in the Mazda Collection's "Egypt"
("The Light of Egyptian Nights') are not those of the original which was done mainly in Parrish Blue and dark purples with the yellow glow of the Mazda lamp illuminating the picture. Instead the print is shown in daylight and the colors are in yellows to light browns. A very different effect and not at all good for advertising electric light. There are also supposed to be "frames" around some of these posters. For the most part these are not included in the prints. This particular poster from the Mazda Collection,"Egypt" complete with the printed Art Deco frame seems to be out of print . I would like to find one though.

  • Maxfield Parrish poster book is a good buy. pages 16"x10.5" gives a large format if you wanted to frame some of the individual prints, however book makes great coffee table conversation piece. Copy I received was clean and in very good shape.

  • This is a great Maxfield Parrish poster book. The large illustrations are suitable for framing if you so choose. This seller is all about customer service. They don't come better than this. The book shipped promptly and the communication was outstanding. I would highly recommend this seller. Thanks much.

  • Contents of the book were excellent, but condition of the book upon arrival was unacceptable.

  • This book is tastefully constructed, and the quality of the prints is impressive. Aside from the amazingly coloured and detailed prints, a short biography is included for those newly aquainted with the artist. It is an excellent buy, not only for the purpose of economy, but with consideration to some of the lesser-known works. It is incredibly rare to see so many prints in one place. Anyone who has this collection can tell you that you will never regret buying it, and for that price you simply can't afford to pass it up.

  • I just love the beautiful paintings of Maxfiled Parish and have wanted to place his works around my home for a long time. However, being on a tight budget makes this difficlut....at least it did until I got this book of posters. While the prints aren't as large as I would idealy purchace, the quality and quantity for the price can't be beat. This is a good, inexpensive way to get good-quality art onto your walls even on a pin-up poster budget.
