I will capture nights all over the world and bring them to you." Henry Rollins, renowned spoken-word performer, musician, actor and author of several books, has a unique, hard-edged view of the world. This collection of writings from 1989 - 1991 is the classic Rollins book. • Fun book to read. It's a very personal book at times but also very truthful. I felt like the author had actually expressed thoughts I could not get out. I will recommend to everyone.

  • Henry is always pretty direct especially when people are involved, journals from his life on the road with Black Flag and beyond show his method of navigating the perils of being a public figure. Hipsters, women, skinheads and journalists are handled with sarcastic bordering on insane wit.

  • We all have these deep, dark thoughts nd dreams, but we are afraid to acknowledge them. Rollins, in this respect, is fearless. He takes us into his blackest dreams, revealing the bloody essence of his raw and battered soul. Not for the faint of heart or the blind of spirit.

  • A must read for rebellious teens and jaded adults. It helps the reader not feel alone in their struggles of life. It leaves the reader feeling like they got a reality check, while not dismissing their feelings and angst.

  • I fell in love with Henry Rollins when I saw an episode of his spoken word show. I have never seen such raw emotion and a genuine sharing of feelings. It hit home and helped me understand that no matter how many people are around, you can still be totally alone.

  • great read

  • Other than being a great book, the seller exceeded my expectations. I thought that there may be damage to the book, which has been the case in that past, but this wasn't the case. Shipping was prompt and the book came unscathed. I would recommend this seller, and book, to future buyers.

  • I've loved Henry's spoken word albums for a long time but I'd never read any of his work . At first I thought this book was a bit of a let-down , then as I began to read it aloud to my girlfriend and we'd talk about what he was saying , relating , and sharing with us , we found ourselves really digging it . Thanks Henry .
