  • Although this book gives a little insight...its more of a beginners guide to stage make up. It doesnt have color pictures except on the cover which was kind of disappointing, and it really wasnt what I was expecting. I wouldve liked more pictures. Its too much wording not enough visual.

  • Some good info to help with lessons...

  • I use this book in my make-up class and we like it very much. The only drawback is its size, wish it was a little larger and the photos were bigger, but otherwise, it's a good resource.

  • For instructional titles like these, presentation plays a big role. Perhaps it was the author's intention to demonstrate how various forms of makeup can be adapted to the same subject(s). However, when the examples are merely non-too-subtle photoshop exercises on the same pair of male and female faces, it suggests very much that this was a very rushed and shoddy peice of work.
The lack of good quality photographs further adds to the mounting disappointment.
I sorely regret purchasing this title.

  • I can't speak for the book personally as it was a gift. However, my grandaughter contacted me thrilled to death. She has now been given the responsibility of "teaching" her drama class about stage make-up using this book as a beginning point in her preparation.

    Highly recommended..
