The unknown years of Jesus (also called his silent years, lost years, or missing years) generally refers to the period of Jesus's life between his childhood and the beginning of his ministry, a period not described in the New Testament.

It is one of the greatest mysteries of all time: the whereabouts of Jesus .

It is one of the greatest mysteries of all time: the whereabouts of Jesus between the ages of 12 and 30. There is a blank space in the record that covers. The show regarding the missing years of Jesus was a poor portrait of Jesus, they had him confused, didn't mention anything about God or that he was the son of God, they had him looking scruffy and dirty and inaccurate information. It was a TV diss of Jesus in my opinion. luis - 03/31/2018 at 11:30.

After a few years working as a script analyst for Hollywood agent Paul Kohner (where he read all the submissions for Charles Bronson, John Huston and even William Wyler), his career in film and television took off when he got his first break as production coordinator (and a writer) of the original TRANSFORMERS TV show for Marvel Productions. In 2005 Texas author Edward T. Martin (KING OF TRAVELERS: JESUS' LOST YEARS IN INDIA) and Producer / Director Paul Davids undertook the filming of the motion picture JESUS IN INDIA across 4000 miles of India and in several other countries. They met with the "Pope" of Hinduism, the Shankaracharya of Puri, to pose the question whether Hindus believe Jesus came to India. The answer from the spiritual leader of millions of Hindus -- Jesus spent years in India during the so-called "lost years," both in Puri and Kashmir, learning from Hindus. From there a deeper mystery unfolds. The story of the making of the film on this theme is a harrowing and wonderful adventure of a small film crew from the U.S. and India. Cinema students have never read about a production like this before, and students of religion will find incredibly provocative information unearthed from the search for the presence of Jesus (or "St. Issa") in India. The book also has unique photographs taken by the director during production.
  • The book not only gives evidence of his view of the Life and Death of Jesus but has made a movie out of the story, illustrating how, when and what happened to Jesus. Fascinating reading, though it contradicts my Christian views, learned thus far.

  • Mr. Martin is dynamic speaker when you meet him. His wealth of knowledge will keep you alert and ready to discuss his findings. His books are good and worth reading.

  • This text takes the reader through the fascinating and inspiring journey that was the production of the movie, Jesus in India by Paul Davids staring Edward T. Martin.

The book explains how the project came about, how the guests appearing in the movie were contacted and visited. It gives first hand accounts of the incredible obstacles and challenges faced by the team in producing the film. The challenges ranged from religious sentiment and censorship to the roasting Indian climate during the summer. The topic is a large one and the 97 minute film packs in a lot of material, but a companion book is essential to allow a proper study of this area. We get to read more about the interviews that did and did not make it in to the final cut of the movie. We read about interviews with Aziz Kashmiri, how the interview with the Shankaracharya was arranged, requests for interviews with the Dali Lama etc.

For me the most fascinating section of the book was the account of the journey to visit the Rozabal Tomb, the alleged tomb of Jesus. The reader gets a true sense of the dangers involved and the precautions the team had to take in order to visit and shoot this key piece in the puzzle.

Overall a thoroughly enjoyable book. For those who have not seen the movie the book still presents a wonderful story, with key quotes and dialogue from the movie included. For those that have it gives important background information that will raise your appretiation of the movie to another level.
