My Heart-Christ's Home book. Imagining what it would be like to have Jesus come to the home of our hearts, Munger moves room by room considering what Christ desires for us. In the living room we prepare to meet Christ daily.

Robert Boyd Munger (1911-2001) was a Presbyterian minister who wrote this timeless work in 1951. It was a vividly compelling then, and I have found no other essay on the ABC's of the Christian life, other than Scripture itself, so impacting as Munger's wonderful work still today. Quote from a Christian leader). In Paul's epistle to the Ephesians, we find these words: "That (God) would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith" (Ephesians 3:16)

  • Great little story of the Holy Spirit making his home in our hearts. Originally a sermon by Robert Munger it has become one of the most widely published Christian booklets ever produced. I first heard the story years ago when Dr James Kennedy presented it at his church service which was aired on television. I ordered a cassette tape of that presentation at that time and I still have it. I recently decided that I needed it for my Kindle Fire. It's can be read in 30 minutes or so and like millions of others I think it is a great analogy of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit into the life of a believer.

  • Love this devotion book! It's Awesome! Some people don't "get" the My Heart Christ's Home book which describes our Spiritual lives compared to our homes but they're wonderful, in my opinion, and this devotion book goes along with it to challenge us to be more like Christ in our Christian walk. You can feel the conviction behind the devotion.

  • This booklet really opens up your mind to help see our bodies as a home. Then showing us how well or not so well we welcome Christ into our place of dwelling. It's thought provoking and heart warming. Its worth buying for yourself and buying to share with friends and family.

  • On this Christian journey, sometimes we feel very alone. We believe what we go through or think or feel is only experienced by us. When another child of God shares in a pure way that removes the scales from another's eyes, it is life changing. And timeless, as is this piece.

  • I read the book at the suggestion of Doreen Virtue, and in readiness to consider a new perspective. This book offered a nice little ride which produced a good release for me when surrender to release the dead things was described. I felt moved and welcomed Christ into my heart. Some of the terminology didn't resonate with me, but I was able to see the metaphor and use it anyway.

  • This little booklet is awesome explaining the inward dwelling of the Holy Spirit in the temple of our bodies and spirits. I have reordered and shared them with the different Bible classes I teach.

  • This is a classic parable of what theologians call progressive sanctification. It describes how an evangelical Christian learns to commit more of her life to Christ as time goes on.

  • Excellent. I am in the process of giving to parents of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will already be familiar with the "retold for children" edition. I see great value in information needed in guiding adolescent young people as they prepare for living life as teenagers according to God's principles for dating and marriage.
