I appreciate and love the HCSB version and after learning that HCSB will stop printing this year 2017 and that they updated and reworded the language and changed it to just CSB. I knew I had to get a copy of the HCSB STUDY BIBLE. I have used it before and I like that in the OT they interchangeably use Yahweh and LORD throughout and also in the NT Messiah. The ESV is like MY go to translation but I also like using NLT, NKJV, and the HCSB. This translation is so very good and I love how detailed the maps are and how informative the introductions are as well as the notes. The thing about the notes is I have found it to be the most factual note taking compared to other notes in different bibles which tend to be biased in opinions. I'm very happy I was able to get my hands on this one. Mahogany and the design is so stunning and warm. Very beautiful.

I bought this Bible for my wife this past Christmas. The pink and brown cover is soft and seems to be of good quality.
We use the KJV as our "official" Bible but my wife wanted something that would help her decipher some the harder to read passages of the KJV. After some research and having used the HCSB for reference in the past I felt comfortable with the HCSB content and translation.
As for the study material, it is very informative. My wife has taken a new interest in her Bible. I am a minister of 20 years and she is coming to me with tidbits that are new and inspiring to me. I happen to be taking a university class on Genesis. The information my wife has been sharing with me from her study Bible is identical to what I have been learning in my college classes. So the scholarship and content of the HCSB study Bible can be trusted and is in-depth enough to interest even the seasoned student.

This is a great study Bible. I have quite a few too! This is one of my favorites. It is very Gospel centered and the illustrations and diagrams are very helpful. It is concise but clear. I don't like the look of the cover, but that doesn't matter to me.

Love love love!! I love all of the maps and study notes. Version is easy to understand and still word for word. My study time has been much richer due to all of the extra information (geographical, historical context, etc). So great. Thank you!

This is the first Holman Bible I have owned and I just love it. It is filled with everything you could imagine. I love the color images, the charts, the introduction to each book of the Bible and the Hebrew definitions are amazing.

There are great outlines and the commentary is very helpful.

This is a superb study Bible. I would suggest this choice for anyone who is serious about diving into God's Word.

My only arguement would be that the pages are thin and when my Bible came they were stuck together. I was terrified I was going to rip a page as I was gently seperating them. It took some time, but once I worked on it, they parted and all is good now. Not sure if all Holman Study Bibles are like this, but this one sure was. Otherwise, this is an outstanding Study Bible. One I use daily.

Love this bible. I like the references at the bottom of the page and it's very easy to read. My husband even uses it for school, he's finishing his degree in biblical studies.
