Schuller became a minister when he was ordained in 1950. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree form Hope College and a Master of Divinity Degree from Western Theological Seminary, both in Holland, Michigan. From 1950-55, Dr. Schuller was the minister at the Ivanhoe Reformed Church in Chicago. In 1955, Dr. Schuller founded the Reformed Church in America in Garden Grove, CA. with his wife Arvella, the organist.
An OK book but not a great book. Robert Schuller is a very good author. Schuller is a notorious name-dropper and I am not sure all his stories made the point he was hoping for. He tried to make the point that people are heavier now than they were back in the 1920's. to illustrate this he wrote of a conversation he had with the man who Renovated the original Yankee Stadium. The new seats were two inches wider than the originals.
