Leading Life-Changing Small Groups is a comprehensive leadership tool for small group leaders and for churches seeking to structure their ministries around small groups.
  • This book has been a great resource for the small group leaders of our church. It is chock full of wisdom and very helpful advice.

  • Another great book for use with small group ministries. Very thorough and useful.

  • One of the major challenges for churches today is the need to bring nurturing and pastoral ministry close to the individual members of the church community. The days where churches could say, "here we are, come on in," are pretty much over. Small groups are a way for churches to go outside their four walls and be incarnate in the larger community. Properly constituted with trained leadership, small groups can provide close, intimate nurturing to each member. Members can also minister to one another on a more intimate scale. Small group members find it easier to invite their friends to a warm, small group.

This book provides an easy to understand and implement way for churches to begin small group ministry. It is an excellent training resource. Working through the book it is easy to train new group leadership and to avoid some of the traps that small groups can fall into. I highly recommend this book.

  • good for my group

  • Very helpful. Love this book.

  • I have used the previous edition for years to train small group leaders in churches. This edition is an excellent summary of that edition along with additional helps.

  • This is a good book. However it is definitely not a simple guide for, so called, small group leaders. Instead, it is more suitable, I think, for someone studying in the Seminary for full-time ministry.

  • This book is easy to read and offers clear advice for anyone with a passion to take on the role of small group facilitator. It gives practical information on how to ensure that for each person, membership will bring spirititual transformation. Our church is ensuring that every facilitator has a copy as part of their resource kit.
