Brunstetter, became interested in writing about the Amish when she married her husband Richard who grew up in a Mennonite church in Pennsylvania. Wanda and Richard have many Amish friends in several Amish communities across the country. In addition to Wanda's many novels about the Amish, she's written several Amish-themed children's books, two Amish cookbooks, and an Amish devotional.

Written by Wanda E Brunstetter. Narrated by Jaimee Draper. It's such a shame that my (admittedly high) expectations weren't me. y first gripe came when I realised that this book is part of a series and not the first of that series.

Book two in the Kentucky Brothers series The Healing begins where The Journey left off. Titus’ brother Samuel Fisher is grieving the loss of his wife Elsie and their unborn child. With so many relatable characters and scenarios, I can’t help but be deeply drawn into their stories, yearning for their healing and redemption right along with them.

  • The 1st book caught my attention enough for me to buy Book 2. But the 2nd one held my attention even more and by the time I got to the end
of the book I wanted more. I can't wait for the 3rd book of the series. I'm wanting to know what is going to happen with Timothy & Hannah. I can't imagine
they going their own separate ways as that is not the way of the Amish. The 2nd book dealt with mostly
Samuel and his grief over loosing his wife. And while I can understand his grief, I thought he was carrying
his grief to extremes. I have my own predictions for Bonnie & Allen and the rest of the characters, but I
won't know until book 3 comes along. One of the signs of a good writer is when you can't wait for the next
book in the series to come out. I've always liked this author, but I think this series is one of her best.

  • Well done. As Samuel struggles with grief he decides to move his family to Kentucky to be near his brother. Will the change of environment allow his heart to heal?

  • The storyline is wonderful... A beautiful Amish Romance that tugs at the heart strings. Fours Stars because I love the story line. I think the book is quite well written in many ways. However, I feel the main characters lack depth. I feel like personalities of the two brothers are too similar and the same goes between the Amish women best friends. The development isn't written to where there are strong personalities. The book was an enjoyable read. Had the characters been written in such a way to give each a distinctive personally it would have made for an even better read.

  • It was a good story it just repeats a lot of the same things if you have read or listen to the first book

  • This was a very good book! I have read just about everyone of Wanda Brunstetters books. I do have to say though that I have read all different Amish authors and out of them all Wanda's books have always had the most deaths in them. Other then that though I really enjoy all of her books.

  • Enjoyed the story. You should enjoy it also. Nice flow in the story. Great great great great great great great

  • One of the Queens of Amish themed books. I've not yet read a Brunstetter book which wasn't really good. I never hesitate to acquire one of her books when they come out. Often I've taken advantage of the Amazon pre-order price guarantee (which lowers the price to any lower/sale price offering prior to it's release.

  • Love, Love , Love all Amish Books & this is one of them too! Wanda Brunstetter always have Great Books. One thing I wish is they would tell the sequence of the series at the start cause sometimes I read the second book & at the end it says book two so I know I missed the first one & have to go back & read it.
