It wasn’t until she was 35 years old that she adopted her first pet, Pete, the cat that was the inspiration for the book There Is Eternal Life For Animals. Pete was 8 years old when the Shanahans adopted him from a neighbor and 21 years old when he Niki Behrikis Shanahan was born and brought up in Massachusetts.

I want to personally thank the Author of this book Niki Shanahan. This book has blessed me as I read about the Angels in the Bible. I thank the Lord for Niki & the love that has gone into this book as she has expounded in depth from the Word Of God on Angels. We can see that God loves us & why he sent Angels. I have all Niki's collection & am waiting for her new book to be released. These books are such a treasure chest to me that when I bought my Kindle last August I downloaded all her books even though I have paper back copies. You can see that these books mean a lot to me.

I strongly disagree with any negitive words that have been written about these books. God Bless you Niki keep up the good work that you have been called to do.

I have always believed in angels but this book gave some provoking thoughts and scriptures that helped me rethink MY idea of angels. This book explained, according to scripture, the roles that angels have AND how we are all part of the same big master plan. Angels are not the little Valentine cupids that man likes to make them out to be - some are warriors, some are guardians, there are many, many aspects in the Angel realm. An interesting read, and it will definitely have you rethinking all aspects of angels. I have some other books by this author, and she writes and researches her topics well. Definitely recommend.

According to a recent Gallup poll, 75% of Americans believe in angels. In this same poll, 81% believe in Heaven and 86% believe in God. This book has two powerful benefits. One, even non-believers will find help and comfort in it and, two, believers will find proof positive that angels do exist. The writer backs up all information about angels with passages from the Bible, and shares real-life testimony from people who have experienced angelic interventions.

Angels have a special job to do, assigned by God. Throughout time, they have been His ministers and messengers. They were created before humans for specific purposes. Angels can look like people or can be invisible. They may have a shining appearance, or look like creatures. Whatever their appearance, they appear in the worldly plane for a reason. For example:
* The Angel Gabriel delivered a message from God to Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist, and to Mary, mother of Jesus, about the birth of their sons;
* An angel delivered the message to the shepherds about the coming Messiah;
* An angel told Joseph to escape to Egypt with Jesus and Mary to avoid Herod's wrath;
* An angel told the women at Jesus' tomb that he was alive, risen from the grave.

Only three angels are named in the Bible. Michael is a warrior, an archangel, and the patron angel of Israel. Gabriel is a special messenger from God. And Lucifer is a fallen angel, ejected from Heaven by God to become Satan on Earth. In addition to these three named angels, there are several types or hierarchies:
* Archangels - chief among angels;
* Seraphim - angels with six wings whose main purpose is to worship God;
* Cherubim - have four creature-like faces and act as guards;
* Fallen angels - ejected from Heaven with Lucifer to become his demons. The Bible makes it very clear that even Lucifer and his fallen angels fear God and have less power than the angels in Heaven.

Truly you have experienced the presence of angels. I was thrilled that author, Niki Behrikis Shanahan, blessed us with a book on one of my favorite subjects, angels. Angels are such an important part of our everyday lives that it is imperative we fully understand who they are and what part they play in our lives now and in eternity. Niki leaves no questions unanswered in this exceptional work.

Taking us by the hand she answers questions like: Do angels eat? Do they die? Where do they live?What do they look like? Are there different types? Do they have names? and the list goes on. She also explains in detail about the Fallen Angels, Lucifer, and what part they played and still do play in our lives. Then she ends this book with Angel Encounters, an encouraging section where others share their angel experiences. I loved it.

I have been in the ministry for thirty years. I personally have had encounters with angels, yet I definitely learned a great deal from this outstanding work. I like the idea of having a book where all the information I need on this subject is close at hand, and I am sure I will use this book over and over again in the ministry. I feel this book will not only be useful in learning and understanding angels, but is a God send in opening our hearts and realizing we do have help all around us. This book will leave you encouraged, uplifted, and excited, wondering just what your angels are working on, just for you. You will become more aware of your atmosphere and surroundings and will learn to welcome the unseen help sent from a God who loves you. Now that is a true blessing.
