Maurice Donald Williamson (born 6 March 1951) is a New Zealand diplomat and former politician who represented Pakuranga in the House of Representatives as a member of the National Party.

We don’t know if it will come down the Pakuranga Highway as a series of troops, or whether it will be a gas that flows in over the electorate and blocks us all in. I also say I had a Catholic priest tell me that I was supporting an unnatural act. I found that quite interesting coming from. I found that quite interesting coming from someone who has taken an oath of celibacy for his whole life. I always say celibacy, okay, we will go with celibacy. Okay, I haven’t done it, so I don’t know what it is about.

The book discusses practical applications of these values to life generally, especially to morality, education and other upbringing. Applications include advocating extensive freedoms and types of democracy, fairness, justice, equality, rights, responsibilities, flourishing, happiness and unselfish universal benevolence. Emotions are argued to be important. Alternative theories are criticised. They are argued to lack evidence. The book discusses problems with evidence, one conclusion being that the theory needs to be self-critical and sometimes skeptical concerning its details.

UNEQUAL OPPORTUNITY: IN A RACE TO THE TOP, BLACKS FINISH LAST. In America s war on drugs, the undercover agents of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency are on the front lines. Maurice Williamson was one of the many African-American DEA agents to go undercover in order to penetrate the predominantly black inner-city drug world. Maurice had joined the DEA with the hopes of one day making it into upper management. So after doing his duty on the street, infiltrating gangs and making arrests, he put in for a promotion. To his dismay, he stood by while less qualified white colleagues who had less stellar performance records were promoted instead. Maurice fought back, filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Monitoring Committee and waited for justice to prevail.
