With Di: The Amazing Adventures of Britain’s Royal Chasers. Harvey declined TIME’s request for an interview, and Saunders did not respond.

It was 9pm on 3 March, 1994, and paparazzi photographers Mark Saunders and Glenn Harvey were sipping coffee in Kensington, west London. The pair had spent the day attempting to photograph the most famous woman in the world, without success. Then Harvey’s cell rang; Princess Diana had been spotted by a contact driving into the Chelsea Harbour development with an unidentified male companion. Get to the rear exit of the restaurant! yelled Harvey, according to a memoir written with Sanders, called Dicing With Di: The Amazing Adventures of Britain’s Royal Chasers.

Mark Saunders and Glenn Harvey are celebrated paparazzi photographers, only photographing members of the royal family, especially Princess Diana. In this book they publish the most controversial photographs of their careers. Starting with the night Princess Diana retired from public life in December 1993, they reveal the background to some of the most famous royal photographs, including: Diana sneaking the married Oliver Hoare into Kensington Palace for a nightcap after a candlelit meal; Diana with Will Carling during a secret visit to Twickenham; and, the truth behind the infamous royal cellulite photographs. They also tell us how they climbed mountains to photograph Diana on her skiing holidays; about the day Diana asked building site labourers to get rid of them; about their travels in pursuit of the Princess to the West Indies, New York, Washington, Colorado, Martha's Vineyard, Paris and Florida; and, how their work sometimes results in head-on confrontations with her.
  • The writers of this book say they were just "doing their job" of photographing Diana. But they were horrible vultures preying on Diana constantly. They showed no mercy no matter what. They had no principles or conscience. I wonder how they would like to have been in her place. Tasteless book!

  • Extremely pleased with my purchase. Wasn’t ready to pay $100 in 1996. Patiently waited 22 years, paid $30 in 2018 and now I have my book. The ‘Used like new’ is an accurate assessment of it’s condition. Couldn’t be happier.

  • Insensitive, thoughtless, cruel, non-ending harrassment and deliberate blindness to the misery these two photographers caused Diana runs rampant through every page of this excellently photographed book. Stalking a woman who finally bursts into tears just goads them on to call her a "loon", whereas when she ignores them, they pout and sulk and pretend she secretly "wants the atention". With no thought at all of "do unto others" ,Mark and Glenn intrude onto every private waking moment. It is not enough for them that Diana is on public display as she carries out her duties or charity work. They must catch her sorrow at her father's death, her sipping coffee in her bathrobe in the mroning in her room at Disneyland when she has taken the boys on a visit. What is the purpose of following her everywhere she goes ? It seeme to me that stalkers get arrested in the United States, and yet these men get paid for doing the same thing -- making someone's life miserable -- and then getting paid for it, to add insult to psychological injury. It is a shame that more of the goodness of the Princess is not revealed here, that the evalustion of Diana is not more fair, more generous, more accurate. She was a fabulous Princess, a good Mother, and would have made a good wife to aman not bent from day one on belittling her while he kept up a relationship with his past girlfriend. A sad book because it repreatedly reveals the most despicable aspects of tabloid journalism.

  • If like me, you love diana you will find this paparazzo rude and intrusive. He was the infamous man who yelled obscene language at her to evoke a reaction. I enjoy biographies about her but regret lining the pockets of mark Saunders. A nasty man.

  • Sad chronicle of how Diana was abused by the press.

  • This is a getting-hard-to-find book, so it was a great buy.
Kind of a miracle it got here, as the packaging was a miss.
One end of the packaging was completely open - the tape did not cover the end. Plus it came from across the pond! Alright, it was just a minor miracle.

  • This book shows just how terribly Diana was harrassed. You only think you know untill you read this book. The photographers called her crazy yet they did not see how PETTY they were or that they drove her to the brink! This book will make you very ANGRY!
