This time, with Leo Pulp, CLAUDIO NIZZI has finally managed to put together stories that rewrite the thriller/noir genre under an ironic and sometimes irresistibly comical light. Widely known as a master of Italian strip cartoons, he was born in Setif (Algeria) in 1938. and started his script career on the pages of "Il Vittorioso", in 1963. But, of course, detectives were bound to have a place in his career as well, and so you meet Lieutenant Mario or the funny Rosco & Sonny, the protagonists of adventures that are often more romances than detective stories.

  • Leo Pulp, an italian comic, its a really good read. It will make u laugh and relax u. Reading this comic is like watching one of those old detective movies. They'v managed to capture the atmosphere with great excellence. The coloring fits the whole story (not so bright colors as marvel), plus the drawing of the characters is great.
    And dont forget the humor. As one friend of mine said that it reminded him on "Necked gun" (the parody movie with L.Nilson), just that i didnt find this comic as a parody... well at least not as much as the movie mentioned.
    As i noticed this edition includes all of the stories -3. I havnt read the last one, but the other two are really great. As for the price, well since its all the stories (300 pages) it fits what u get. I cant comment on the quality of this edition cuz i dont own it.

  • one of the best graphic novels, ever, period. creative, original writing and artwork. hard to put down. i wish i could either read it again in its original italian, or, at least, read the second installment right away. but since i can neither speak nor read italian, or rub a magic lamp and ask a genie for a second installment to be instantly, magically conjured out of mid air, i will settle for rereading it...for now, that is... :) katie
