SPIE (formerly the Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers, later the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers) is an international not-for-profit professional society for optics and photonics technology, founded in 1955.

IS&T-The Society for Imaging Science and Technology. The papers included in this volume were part of the technical conference cited on the cover and title. Proceedings of the Water Environment Federation is an archive of papers published in the proceedings of the annual Water Environment Federation® Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC® ) and specialty conferences held since the year 2000.

Proceedings of SPIE are among the most cited references in patent literature. Every textbook comes with a 21-day "Any Reason" guarantee. Need help ASAP? We have you covered with 24/7 instant online tutoring. Connect with one of our nology tutors now. ABOUT CHEGG.

On July 1, 1955 SPIE was founded as the Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers in California to.In 1964 the society changed its name to the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.

On July 1, 1955 SPIE was founded as the Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers in California to specialize in the application of photographic instrumentation. In 1977 SPIE moved its headquarters to Bellingham, Washington, and in 1981 the Society began doing business as (DBA) SPIE-The International Society for Optical Engineering to reflect a changing membership. In 2007, the society ended its DBA and is now referred to simply as "SPIE.
