  • This is my favorite cookbook for when I am in a hurry, haven't shopped or can run in for only a few things.
    For the budding chef its the starting point on combining flavors and techniques. While most are easy, be aware not all the recipes are easy! I never have to pretest recipes if I am serving it for company.

    I try the recipe once and its always good and I end up adjusting the recipe by adding additional spices or a fourth ingredient and noting the change in my book. The 3 ingredient chocolate cake is yummy.

  • This book personifies the mindset that really tasty food can be made simply ... and from only a few fine ingredients. And, they need not be the most expensive ingredients, either. Just because each recipe contains only three (3) ingredients (water, salt and pepper are not considered in the count), do not assume that these recipes are done in thirty minutes, or less. Some require many hours of slow cooking, while other take much less time. All the recipes I've tried have resulted in full tasting dishes that far exceed the taste of many long involved, multiple ingredient recipes that require far more effort than the gathering and preparation of just three ingredients. Shopping time is minimal! And surprisingly, the cooking skills required can easily be performed by both beginners and experienced cooks. I highly recommend this book for all interested in dining well!

  • This book has tons of recipes but I was disappointed when I recieved the book because many of the recipes do not have pictures. For me, pictures are essential to cookbooks because I like to see what the dish looks like. Because of the lack of pictures, I don't look at this book much and have not tried many of the recipes. i should add that where there are pictures, they are nicely done. The book would be greatly enhanced if there was a picture for every recipe.
