You might be familiar with my recipes through the Cooking for Health column I wrote for Bon Appetit magazine for many years. Or, perhaps you have one of my cookbooks in your collection. Some of my most popular books are the award winning The Good Egg and Lighter Quicker Better (written with Richard Sax), Fresh & Fast, Fig Heaven, Sur La Table’s Things Cooks Love, The Amazing World of Rice and the best selling 365 Ways to Cook Pasta.

  • I found this book at a flea market, took it home and made really tasty, easy meals, soups, side dishes, puddings and breakfast.

No pretty photos just 365 easy recipes!

I Served number #201 "Spaghetti With Tomatoes, Bacon, and Onions" to guests,(I added Red Pepper flacks, roasted red peppers and portabella mushrooms because I like them) and got rave reviews.

#236 " Tricolor Bell Pepper Sauce with Imported Black Olives and Anchovies" was wonderful.

#84 "Spaghetti with lemon butter" is super easy to make and a great side dish for shrimp.

#209 Linguine Tuna Black olives & Tomatoes, M-m-m-m.
I melted cheese over this one.

I have NOT put on a pound. I watch the amount of pasta I eat and feel up on all the goodies.
I have gone to Amazon and bought this book for friends and family.

  • I have been using this great little cookbook for years. I recently bought another copy for my vacation home since I have found some "favorite" recipes within the book and I need to keep them handy. I am not Italian, however, I find the recipes to be authentic and straightforward when working on preparing this much loved cuisine for my family. There are many gems to try in every category. For a small cookbook, there is a recipe for anyone's taste. MANGIA!

  • I bought this solely for the salmon and green olive pasta recipe. The book was in great shape with no markings except for a star on the very recipe i got it for! That is what I call serendipitous!.

  • Like pasta? So do I and this is a book that will take advantage of that taste preference. There's dishes for meat lovers and dishes for vegetarians. Overall, a very useful cook book to keep on hand. All pasta lovers should love it.

  • I bought this cookbook as I own several others (like 7) in the 365 Ways series and because I'm Sicilian & LOVE carbs. I wasn't too impressed, a lot of the recipes start off using the same ingredients then add an ingredient and call it a whole new recipe, etc., etc. If you like fish then maybe this one is for you, I don't eat fish at all & a lot of the recipes call for it in their ingredients. There isn't a section on casseroles either, I was expecting more of those or what to do with leftover cold pasta if you happened to cook too much one night, well, that happened to me and I got fed up looking through the book for a recipe & just created my own recipe from items that were in the fridge.

This one's a risk, you really need to look at it before you buy.

  • I've enjoyed this book for years, for everything from dinner parties to camping. This copy was for a friend who is just starting to cook at home..

  • Been using for years. Great summer salads for parties. You can replace regular pasta with gluten free.

  • I've owned this cookbook for many, many years! When my son moved out on his own, he wanted to take it with him because he enjoyed cooking and liked several of the recipes. Because the book was so old, I wasn't sure if it would be available for purchase and I was very pleased to find it through Amazon at a recycle book store.
