The third installment in the popular Clean Eating cookbook series, The Best of Clean Eating 3 is loaded with all of the top-rated family favorites, comforting classics and exotic offerings you've come to expect from Clean Eating magazine. With 20 brand-new recipes, an array of time- and money-saving tips, gorgeous food photography and accommodations for various dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, etc.), this essential collection contains everything you need to improve your life one meal at a time!
  • I preordered the CE3 cookbook because I absolutely love the first Clean Eating and even Clean Eating 2. However, I must admit that Clean Eating is the one volume I go back to all the time. I love the layout of the first volume i.e. Budegt-Priced Meals, Meals for Two, Quick Meals, etc. It freshens things up and is especially helpful for people who do not have a 4 or 6 person household. After all, you can only freeze so many meals ;)

    Unfortunately, Clean Eating 3, just like CE2, did not continue what CE started - the recipes are arranged along poultry, meatless, seafood, etc.-you get the idea. When I make a mealplan I do not plan that way, but rather open the CE book and skim through it. CE3 makes this a lot less fun, but I acknowledge that being my personal preference. Somebody else might love having 20 chicken recipes in one place, or a whole chapter dedicated to breakfast, brunch, and beverages (really?!).

    However, what really made me rate CE3 only 3 stars are the meals. If you own CE and/or CE2, CE3 feels like the same recipes with slightly altered ingredients, a different title, and different photos. The choices are kind of bland and after having cooked for two weeks out of CE3, almost every dish felt "recycled" and nothing wowed us like the dishes out of CE or even CE2. Although, CE is by far my favorite.

    Subsequently, if you do not own the first volume of Clean Eating, go with that one instead and skip Clean Eating 3. If you think you cannot possibly live without owning all three volume, snatch it up when it is cheap. It certainly is not worth full price and like I said before, it feels like the staff at Clean Eating was in a rush releasing CE3 and trying to make money, while recycling their original recipes and not being overly original.

  • I am a picky eater, but everything in the book I've tried tastes great and is healthy too. What I like most is that the recipes are light on things like butter and salt. More importantly to me is that the spices are well-balanced and enhance the dishes instead of the usual confusing, over done spices that are typical of health food magazines.

  • Clean Eating goes back to the way we cooked at home when I was a kid, many years ago. Food was fresh, cooking was not too complicated, and it was healthy. This is my 3rd Clean Eating cookbook, and we love the results. We have been enjoying Clean Eating as a life style for a few years. The cook book gives me new ideas especially for seasoning. Stunning photographs, recipes that will please your palate. This is a cook's cookbook, and an education at the same time.

  • Honestly so glad i didnt listen to the few negative reviews on here. I just got my clean eating book and im so anxious to cook the dishes. The recipes are easy to follow and the pics are enticing! Most of the recipes i had to do a double take on how low the calories are because they look sinfully yummy. Very happy about what im seeing but i will give a updated review when i start actually cooking them on how they taste.

  • I bought all three clean eating books and have had a great time sorting through them. My family has been reaping the benefits of my health kick and devouring the recipes that I've tried. The only complaint I have is that some of the recipes are a bit more complicated than what I would normally prepare during the week, but with a little prep or some substitutions, I've been able to get around that. All in all - a great resource!

  • i thought this would have even better recipes than the 1st and 2nd books but i dont think so. i will keep this for future reference but wasnt pleased with the content overall. i preordered andi did get fast shipping through amazon, it came a week earlier than expected.

  • Worth the money. I'm new to clean eating. I grew up in an Italian household so clean eating feels like I'm learning how to cook again but in a different way. This was the first of these cookbooks I bought and I love it. Loved it so much I bought the other two. I felt this cookbook has more recipes that utilize produce found more often in the spring/summer, where as Clean Eating #2 had more recipes utilizing produce found in the fall/winter. Clean Eating 1 has an awesome 4 week meal planner which is a great help to beginners starting meal prep. These recipes make eating healthy exciting and fun to look forward to.

  • I have subscribed to the Clean Eating Magaine for YEARS! Healthy "clean" recipes that TASTE fantastic. This "best of" is great for home meals for self and family or for entertaining. Additionally the principles of the recipes you can apply to your own favorite recipes to make them healthier and yummmy.
