  • Very useful guide.

  • I was disappointed with this book. Although I am a novice chef at best, I am an avid reader. Most of the tips can be found elsewhere. This book would be fine for someone who has not read about cooking/kitchen set-up and who has little cooking experience.

  • This book has a lot of really good tips, although it is not exactly comprehensive. A lot of good information is provided, while a lot of good information is overlooked. My main concern about this book is that it is riddled with grammatical errors, making it an uncomfortable read. I think that a little more thought and a little more editing could make a big improvement on this publication. Maybe they will release a second edition.

  • The book is useful, it's full of tips. It's an easy read, easy to follow instructions and recipes. I really like it as an aid in the kitchen.

  • I have dozens of cook books but this is one of my favorites. Easy recipes with wonderful flavor for all types of fish and meats. They can be used under the broiler or in a pan if you can't grill outside and they are super. (Who would have imagined the British were so good with food!)

  • great for any beginners. focuses on the "technical" aspects of cooking, instead of offering countless recipes that one can easily follow, yet not necessarily understand. great for knowing the WHY's and HOW's of basic cooking, before attempting any recipes.
