  • I bought this book for an online class as I have purchased many books before. However, when I first opened it up to read my assessment the front pages fell out. Must have been an issue with putting it together or not enough glue. For the price of the book was not to happy.????

  • I read the author's book, What Great Teachers Do Differently, years ago and found myself both motivated and inspired. I picked this one up hoping for the same. I expected a book that would renew my passion for teaching. This book did not deliver.

There were a lot of great ideas about making your classroom more inviting. As an extension, there were also great ideas about how to make a presentation space more inspiring. There was no other useful advice or inspiration.

The author writes in the same positive tone as in his other books, but the book did not live up to its title.

  • needed for a class...

  • I read What Great Teachers Do Differently by this same author. I loved it and felt inspired to be a better teacher. The message in this book, Teaching Matters, is "just suck it up and do it", regardless of how bad the administration is. Yes, as teachers we owe it to our students to be 100% every day. As administrators, we owe it to our teachers to lift them up, praise them, and inspire them. I was not not motivated by this book nor was my morale was lifted. What Great Teachers Do Differently is a much better book and I recommended it to every teacher I know.

  • Purchased for school district. Since I didn't hear any complaints (which I would), I can only assume that teacher was happy with the item.

  • This is a wonderful asset for any teacher, school, or educational leader. The authors write in a way that is easy-to-read and captures the interest of the reader. Thought-provoking, eye-opening, and motivational are just a few adjectives that can be used to describe this book. When finished reading the book, you WILL be motivated and inspired about teaching...if not, you need to go into another profession.

  • There are a few good tips and some important reminders. A quick, encouraging read at the right time.

  • good read
