  • One of the best books on classroom management that I have ever read. The best way to learn management of a classroom is to "Do it". This book is simple to read, and has really good suggestions. Not ones that are useless. They bring up things that help you connect what your style of managing is. Two people can use the same technique and come away with two different ideas as to how to implement the concept or technique. It is normal. Everybody's body language is different. Whether we are aware of it or not. Kids are NOT STUPID. They can and do read TEACHERS to "see" if they mean what they say. They will test you to see where your boundry is. This book brings up concepts that other books simply do not. I have subbed for over 10 years and have a special ed cert and I learned a lot from this book. It is difficult to "see ourselves". Be open minded when reading this book. You will gain a lot of knowledge from this reflective case-based approach.

  • I purchased this book for a friend that has a son starting school. She wanted to see what some of the issues might be for children in a class room, and how she could handle the situation. Good Book

  • This book has good information and some interesting cases at the end. It would be nice to have more support for the cases - possible solutions or things to try or a website to access for help with these.

  • Good

  • Good product!
