  • This is not bound like a regular book. Instead it loose leaf pages that I had to put into a 3-ring binder. I knew that before I ordered (it was the only option); however, the pages are very thin and easily tear in 3-ring binder. Disappointed in the publishing company for trying to safe some money and not properly binding the book. The content is excellent, a great resource.

  • This text has been the most informative of all the texts I have had to purchase for my master's as a reading specialist courses. It provides a lot of interventions and activities to use with struggling readers. It also explains a lot of the more confusing terminology used in these courses. I will definitely keep this text for future use!

  • Would expect a REAL textbook for $100, not creased, thin loose leaf pages. Ironic that the authors stress the importance of reading material when implementing a reading program. Also, the studies quoted throughout the book are outdated. The few photos (black & white) of teachers & students look decades old. Publisher (Pearson) should be ashamed. Have asked my grad school not to use this author, publisher or "text" next year.

  • This book is a waste. 70% information 30% helpful information.

  • Had to buy this for a class. It is an excellent resource. Wish it was binded. It comes as a loose leaf books, which is not my preference.

  • Exactly what I ordered, good for a class.

  • Book as described needed for class.

  • I am appalled at the lack of quality of this textbook which was required for a class I was taking. The paper is apparently recycled newsprint, and is so thin that you can see the print and graphics from the other side. Unbelievable that I paid over $100 for this book!
