Modeling of optoelectronic devices involves complex numerical simulations, usually performed with TCAD tools, that can provide accurate results for single devices but are not feasible for full circuits. The optoelectronics properties of the lattice-matched AlInN/GaN DA structure including the high tunability of the effective bandgap and the corresponding absorption spectra, along with high electron-hole wavefunction overlap ( 85%) are shown. The growth optimization process and structural characterization (XRD & AFM) of the AlInN/GaN DA are analyzed.
