by Gerald E. Williams (Author). Thus this book is of particular value to mechanical engineers who need to understand electrical and electronic devices and maybe perform a few calculations, but it is certainly not a book on design. ISBN-13: 978-0574215253. Thus I would not recommend it to aspiring electrical engineers who need to learn design. There are study problems in every chapter with solutions to odd numbered problems in the back of the book.

1873 books by James Clerk Maxwell . L. Pearce Williams (1991): "In 1873, James Clerk Maxwell published a rambling and difficult two-volume Treatise on Electricity and Magnetism that was destined to change the orthodox picture of physical reality. Andrew Warwick (2003): "In developing the mathematical theory of electricity and magnetism in the Treatise, Maxwell made a number of errors, and for students with only a tenuous grasp of the physical concepts of basic electromagnetic theory and the specific techniques to solve some problems, it was extremely difficult to discriminate between cases where Maxwell made an error and cases where.

This class-tested book gives you a familiarity with electricity and electronics as used in the modern world of measurement and control. Integral to the text are procedures performed to make safe and successful measurements of electrical quantities. It will give you a measurement vocabulary along with an understanding of digital and analog meters, bridges, power supplies, solid state circuitry, oscilloscopes, and analog to digital conversions. This book is about behavior, not design, and thus lends itself to an easy-to-understand format over absolute technical perfection

This book also explains all basic components in analog and digital electronics along with their functions and uses. in 1974, we used to read the marvin and Tepper series of electricity and Electronics books. You can learn how these components work and how they fit into various circuit applications. After those, came HenryJacobwitz (I think is the name)- BASIC ELECTRONICS book. It taught us in depth about the concepts. Hope with 4th and fifth gen, these books need to be consulted. Anyhow, accept my appreciation.
