PROCEEDINGS VOLUME 5196. Laser-Generated and Other Laboratory X-Ray and EUV Sources, Optics, and Applications. X-ray backlighting diagnostics at 1865 and 6181 eV using spherically-bent crystals have been fielded on the Z-machine, each with a ~ . eV spectral bandpass, 10 μm spatial resolution, and a 4 mm by 20 mm field of view. We are studying the feasibility of utilizing Kα x-ray sources in the range of 20 to 100 keV as a backlighters for imaging various stages of implosions and high aerial density planar samples driven by the NIF laser facility.
