  • I've owned earlier versions of this timeless reference. Now it's avail. online, but I wanted a print copy so got this not-quite-up-to-date volume. Still a classic, IMHO. An unvarnished look at owning your own GENAV airplane. Co$t rules so it's good to know before you go in what to expect. Don't get involved with an airplane wearing rose-colored glasses. BUY this BOOK!

  • I bought this book when looking to buy my first airplane. Was a tremendous resource with tons of information about different manufacturer and model to aid in the decision process. I held on to the book and just recommend to a fellow pilot looking to buy their first airplane. I haven't picked up this book in five years after purchasing my airplane so going a bit from memory on my rating. Could have easily rated a 5. Flyboy

  • This is a great look at the costs and considerations before you buy an airplane. There's great advice on what to look for in purchasing, some good info about engine concerns and then of course performance.

  • A great book with a lot of wonderful and very accurate information! Highly useful to anyone who is looking to buy an airplane especially for the first time.

  • It contained some basic information. It suggested that I get an independent type machanic or expert to review the aircraft prior to purchase. Duh? Also, it provides some generic information about different types of aircraft. Look for a better book.

  • Fast Service, Great Purchase.

  • It didn't provide much more information than I already knew. Whatever I learnt from the book could have been printed in a small booklet or panflet.

  • This book goes into graet detail on the the pros and cons of differetn years and models. It really helped me in selecting a plane for purchase.
