  • An overlooked corner of the science fiction universe, Lenseman is like Star Trek, Star Wars and a little Buck Rogers. A fun setting, which at the very least will help inspire you with new elements for your game.

  • Very cool roleplaying game supplement for GURPS. But if your a fan of the Lensman series its also a good book to view and use as a sourcebook for any RPG system. The Lensman is Space Opera in the extreme sense where the mind is as powerful as the planet busting weapons and disintegrater guns of the superscience universe.

  • I'm writing this review from a rather unusual perspective, that of a fan of Doc Smith's Lensman novels who has never played a GURPS game. From that perspective, the book is a lot of fun. It's well written, and true to both the spirit and the detail of Dr. Smith's writing. (I've started to read all the other non-Smith fiction set in the Lensman universe, and couldn't finish any of it.) The details of practical life and combat are well thought out and frequently amusing, and many of the game scenarios constituent excellent vignettes of fiction, very much in the spirit of the original.
