Skavenslayer (A Gotrek & Felix novel) Mass Market Paperback – April, 2000. by. William King (Author). Gotrek & Felix: The Second Omnibus (Warhammer).

Skavenslayer by William King is the second volume in the Gotrek and Felix series in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. It was also included in Gotrek & Felix: The First Omnibus, released in 2006. It is notable for introducing the character of Grey Seer Thanquol, who becomes a recurring antagonist in subsequent volumes of the series, and also inspired a series of his own, written by Clint Werner.

Ships from and sold by the book community. This was the most humorous of Warhammer books that I've read thus far. The army of skaven that is intent on taking over the world, starting with the city of Nuln, is lead by the most devious and backstabbing generals you could think of. Gotrek and Felix basically walk through the overconfident and cowardly rat-men, finding themselves in position to thwart various rat-schemes. I loved the way that King portrayed the skaven and had a great time with this light and entertaining read.

  • After discovering book number one and reading it in what felt like one sitting I decided to get the skavenslayer. What a good choice indeed. Now I am fully prepared to tackle the series and learn more of the twos fate.

I recommend this book if you are interested in the lore of warhammer, particularly the skaven clans. William kings goes into wonderful detail describing the setting.

  • Fun read that shows how skaven (rat men baddies) inter-conflicts interfere with their plans as much as the protagonists do. Not very long, and it should be noted that it ends on a cliffhanger.

Also, in classic Warhammmer fashion, it's quite dark and gory. Imagery is intense but in my opinion never felt overdone and merely added to the scene.

  • This was the most humorous of Warhammer books that I've read thus far. The army of skaven that is intent on taking over the world, starting with the city of Nuln, is lead by the most devious and backstabbing generals you could think of. • I really liked reading this book, it manages to pull you to another world.
it's not perfect and had a subplot I felt was unnecessary

  • Great series of books. Try reading from start to finish. If you're in to high fantasy and spilling guts, this series will sate your bloodlust.

  • For anyone who ever played warhammer fantasy battles or roleplay. The are the stories that defined and built that world.

  • I believe that this was more action packed and more interesting than the first one. I was very impressed and I also liked the Skaven rivalry as well, which makes it even more interesting.

  • The first book in the series is " TrollSlayer" and I enjoyed it and purchased this second book. This company sent my book very quickly and it was in perfect condition. I enjoy PC strategy gaming and am not an avid reader. In 2016 a new game is coming out called " Total War : Warhammer " and this series of books describe the world and characters that are in this game. That has inspired me to want to read about it , to enjoy the game play from a clearer imagination of the layout of the world map and conquests !
