  • Clive Cussler is an amazing read. Have a whole shelf of his books. The movie "Sahara" with Matthew McConaughey was based on his book. The "Oregon Files" are my personal favorite, but I started off reading the "Dirk Pitt" series. While the books do have a chonological order, they are also standalone, if that makes any sense. It doesn't matter if you start off on book one or book thirteen, you will understand what is going on as there are several references to past events, fueds, inside jokes, etc. Clive Cussler has a brobdingnagian vocabulary, and a certain flair of how be writes his stories. Hard to put his books down once you start reading.

  • Ok I haven’t even finished the book yet and I had to write a review. Amazing! A must read. It’s my first day, page 200, and 11:15 at night and I can’t put it down. Very suspenseful, and reads like a movie. Usually I like fantasy books, but this action adventure is awesome. Highly recommend you fall into Pitt’s life and have a good treasure hunt. The opening scenes are filled with diving in caves, and trying to survive ancient cities. Nice twist and turns. Can’t wait to finish it!

  • A VERY good book, even better than some of Clive Cusslers' which I have already read. The story is great and very well written. A bit beyond reality at times, but it adds to the readability of the book. As usual, astounding and amazing.

  • Already had a copy in hard cover but it was smaller than the others on the shelf, so wanted one the same size as the rest of them. really am pleased with this copy, Would like to enter a smiley face here, but the keyboard does not have them, thank you and God Bless .......

  • In my opinion this is the best Dirk Pitt novel of them all, and I've read them all. Every familiar NUMA character plays a major role in the novel. Dirk is in jeopardy and must endure a feat of great physical effort to bring the villains to justice.

  • This is the A-Team on steroids. The bad guys shoot thousands of rounds of ammo and never hit our precious hero. The story could have been okay, if not for the unbelievable situations the main character, sorry I can't even remember his name, gets put into then miraculously manages to get out of. I know this is a work of fiction, but "come on man!"

  • Inca Gold was the very first Clive Cussler book I read it was about Inca treasure hunting and enjoyed it so much I've been reading his books ever since...bought it for my Mother-In-Law now she's hooked!!
I like the way Clive portray's his stories, he pulls you into his train of thought! Thanks for being an outstanding author!

  • What can you say? It's Clive Cussler. Always a good, fun read.
