  • One of my favorite books. I read it many years ago and was delighted to see it's back in print. An edge of your seat thriller with evil Nazis and traitors, brave Resistance and a great ending. I have told so many people over the years about this book and they have all loved it. The author's Wolf Winter is almost as good too.

  • This is the first story where I discovered the author Clare Francis. I had mislaid the copy, and wanted one to replace it. She is a wonderful British author, too little read in the States. I encourage you to try her books!

  • Well written and well researched with regard to Nazi's belatedly realizing the need for research about radar. Ironic that they had to get Jewish scientists to do the research. Also well researched regarding the resistance efforts to get allied servicemen out of France.

  • A wonderful realistic story of WW2 suspense, intrigue, love, tragedy, and survival. I hated to get to the end of it.

  • A favorite WWII novel; great interweaving stories and characters, will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page is turned.

  • Based on true events. Wars bring out the best or worse in people as do immoral dictators or leaders. Easy to read and hard to put down. Enjoy!

  • I'd never read her before this book. Couldn't put it down. Very exciting and well plotted. Will definitely read more of her books

  • I liked the plot but there was just way too many details that added nothing to the story. At least 100 pages of nothing.
