Recommended fantasy trilogies. A Darker Shade of Magic Trilogy by VE Schwab. Anyone who reads in the genre will know that fantasy is not adverse to the odd trilogy. Indeed the three volume approach may well be more common than the stand-alone novel (although I have absolutely no proof to back this up). I love trilogies, reading a great book in the knowledge that there is still more excellence to come is a warming feeling. Most people only know one London; but what if there were several?

Kayla Smith is looking for a man that can satisfy her every need, and she has found him only he doesn't want the job. James Feldon has suffered through a messy marriage and has the scars to prove it. He isn't ready to become involved with another. Although he didn't realize how difficult that would be until Kayla became his teenage daughter's teacher. • Kayla Smith is looking for a man that can satisfy her every need (I'm looking too sister!!!) and she has found him only he doesn't want the job. James Feldon has suffered through a nasty marriage with a woman who started having affairs and tripping and he is burned by it. He isn't ready to become involved with another, but he didn't expect his daughter's teach would looke like Kayla. To make matters worse, all four of his children have decided that they want a new mother, and they have chosen Kayla. Of course these kids chose Kayla, it wouldn't be a good story if they didn't, but I love the story. It's cute, fast, funny and it's just a nice romance book.

Now wait a damn minute!!! How come this crap'ola romance don't happen to me!!! Where have I been?

  • This book was dull from the start and when the love interest called Kayla, "Kristina" during the act I stopped. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss something so I did a search on the name "Kristina" in the book and sure enough it was the only time it appeared. Can you say bad. I'm starting to get turned off with trying new authors because of the grammar issues. This one had a few in the first portion of the book, which I could over look but calling the woman your intimate with another name threw me. OMG, I laughed and had to stop. Plus it was kind of dull. Maybe this book ended great but I couldn't get past the wrong name in a love scene.

  • The plot is good. I'll give it that and the characters are enjoyable, but there are so many writing problems that I had a very hard time wanting to continue to read. When I bought this, I thought, great, a lot of very good reviews. But then I started to read and I just got angry. There is just way too much telling in this story and not enough showing. I want to fall into a story not have everything dumped on me in extremely long and unnecessary info dumps and I certainly didn't like that the extreme lack of contractions in the dialogue. It was stilted and kept taking me out of the story. I've enjoyed other works I've read by Stephanie Morris, so I would possibly read other things that she writes. This, though, didn't do it for me at all.

  • I like this book better than book 2 because it was more relateable to me. This sister is the oldest and she feel in love with a man with four children and that didn't stop her and I ain't mad at her. Very good read for me. I enjoyed the book.

  • great book

  • This was my first time reading this author. I found the writing a bit juvenile. All around dull

  • I read this book from cover to cover. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading this book.
