This is like a second squeezing of the grape. The original story was good the second a bit weaker and this novel which is nominally a prequel tells a bit more than in the two previous books and while it is a stand alone it is also a pale comparison.

In Part I of MOMENTOS, we meet Mick and Paul as young men. They share a passion for the written word and an undeniable case of raging hormones. We get to tag along for the ride, experiencing the joys and the heartaches of a budding romance until life and Paul's father intrude. The falling-out almost destroys Mick. It's this heartbreak that leads him to Spain in Part II, where he meets the alluring and sexy Tono, a closeted Jai alai player. Their powerful sexual attraction evolves into a loving and warm relationship, which ultimately heals Mick's broken heart. Part III of the novel brings us back to the present, where LOVING EDITS ended.

Ms. Ashling's entertaining dialogue, rich descriptions, and full range of emotions are in abundance throughout this m/m/m book. Extraordinary secondary characters help to move the story to its beautiful ending with a poignancy that cannot be denied or forgotten. A definite five star read for anyone who believes in the power of love and the human spirit.

Generally not a fan of 1st person narrative but the way the author describes the setting is truly magnificent. Even on the first page as they describe the scent of curry in the air and the feeling of the warm crowded apartment, it's as if you're actually living it.
