  • The plot was unusual and intriguing, and characters were well-developed and interesting. However, the book needed more careful proofreading. Sometimes words were left out of sentences.

  • It was a good tale, interesting, though jumbled in spots and about three quarters in to it I would guess all editing simply stopped. It is hard for me to get terribly excited about bad editing.

  • Haunting! Drew me in, balancing perceived reality and the world as it truly is; more vast and mysterious and wonderful than we allow ourselves to believe.

  • Quaint story that is a little scary and mystical.

  • The mix of understanding unease and atmosphere, is very well done. The story moves at a place blending pragmatism and suspension of disbelief quickly but in a partial dream state. The only complaint is that the proofreader was inept.

  • Such a great book! Couldn't put it down. Will definitely read more by this author.

  • I liked this story kept my interest all the way through.I will read more from Meg Atkins

  • kept waiting for it to get better
