Reginald Hascall Parsons (October 3, 1873 - June 9, 1955) was a prominent Seattle businessman and philanthropist during the first half of the twentieth century. He was born on Long Island, New York and came west to Seattle with his family in 1904 to manage the Bemis Bag Company there. Parsons became the first president of the Seattle Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America in 1916 and held the position for five years.

The first prescribed natural fire program (allowing lightning fires to burn under prescribed conditions) was approved in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in 1968 (Parsons and van Wagtendonk in press). Despite continued opposition within the agency (Bonnicksen 1989), there was a gradual increase in recognition of the effects of fire exclusion and the importance of restoring fire as a process (Parsons and others 1986). He donated to the Council the original plot of land on the Hood Canal that soon after became Camp Parsons ww. ampparsons. com (which opened in 1919).
