Follow Miss Rachel Innes when she rents a large country estate for the summer, where she and the niece and nephew she brought up can relax and enjoy a time away from the city. It doesn't turn out that way at all.

Very historically informative and enlightening. In this collection, there is even a series of articles that she wrote for the Saturday Evening Post. The mystery stories are well plotted and do not include gory details. She was a great writer!
