Whilst countless numbers have lived and died over the eons, these oldest trees in the world are truly ancient. Called "Prometheus" this Great Basin Bristlecone Pine was one of the oldest trees in the world. Sadly the tree died in 1964.

  • Legend of the Impossible Pine Tree is a must read for all ages. Indeed, this book has universal appeal. I love the title as well, hope is the best of things!

A vast array of point of views told by colorful, engaging characters, makes this book so different and unique unto itself. Like a juicy onion, the story has layers of meaning. And these layers beautifully peel away to get to the heart (the truth) of the story. Included are pages of beautiful, hand-drawn illustrations by the author B.C. Danei.

  • I found the beginning slow but once the legend of the impossible pine tree began I really didn't want to stop reading. In addition to an entrancing story this small book contains a great deal of wisdom which is applicable to our lives today. It was satisfying to me as an adult but it would be excellent to read to a child.
