Walking on the Moon book. All these stories are unashamedly women centred.

Walking on the Moon book. All these stories are unashamedly women centred but for me it was like water to someone thirsty, because it was stories and points of view that are hard to find in fiction. I’ve written under the names Barbara Wilson (my father’s adoptive name) and Barbara Sjoholm (which means sea I’m a writer of memoir, mysteries, fiction, and travel books on Lapland and women and the sea (The Pirate Queen).

Limp, heavyhanded, poorly shaped stories of lesbian/feminist awakening-with a few promising touches. In ""Take Louise Nevelson,"" a woman in coming-out transition visits an old friend (shallow, heterosexual) and finally makes the big announcement. and winds up in bed with the friend's spacey, TV-addicted roommate. "Heatings"" provides some variety: a woman's relationship with her stroke-impaired father.

This book is a fictional work by K. B. Miller. I’ve been wondering what other kinds of mysteries Ma’s books hold. She has many of them, as she writes often. All names, characters, places, and events either are the product of the authors’ imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, business establishments, events, or locales is entirely coincidental. Drawing it out myself, and hearing the stories were two totally different things, altogether. One of the interesting things I found out was my ancestor, Ana Moon, was a spirit witch. I asked Ma what that meant exactly.

Even though the book was written over a decade ago it isn't dated. I enjoyed Barbara Wilson's characters and her infusion of geopolitics.

Seattle printing collective owner Pam Nilsen is on the case when a member of the group turns up dead before a controversial merger. Pam Nilsen and her twin sister, Penny, inherited Best Printing four years ago when their parents died in a car crash. Unwilling to sell their family legacy, the sisters turned it into a collective run by a cadre of activists whose arguments over the business can be just as impassioned as their support for progressive causes. Even though the book was written over a decade ago it isn't dated. Nothing felt contrived or cliche, which of course is rare for mysteries.

Sex on the Moon: The Amazing Story Behind the Most Audacious Heist in History is a 2011 book by Ben Mezrich, author of New York Times Best Seller Bringing Down the House and of The Accidental Billionaires. It retells the theft and attempted sale of lunar samples plus a Martian meteorite from a vault at NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center by a cooperative education student assisted by another co-op, an intern, plus an acquaintance.

THEFT OF THE POET by Barbara Wilson. BARBARA WILSON is the author of several novels and a collection of short stories. In addition to the Pam Nilsen series, Murder in the Collective, Sisters of the Road, and The Dog Collar Murders, she has recently published Gaudi Afternoon, the first mystery to feature London-based translator Cassandra Reilly. Barbara Wilson is the cofounder of Seal Press in Seattle.

In this humorous and engrossing collection, Cassandra is hard at work in some of the world’s most picturesque locales, including Maui, the English moors, and the Icelandic coast.
