Love Thy Neighbor (Center Point Premier Romance (Large Print)): Book by Macomber, Debbie. How Lesley's neighbor eventually becomes her husband.

Caroline Myers had been eighteen when she'd first discovered how potent her grandfather's recipe for "tea" was. So, when her two maiden aunts suggested a vacation in Alaska, Caroline was sure they'd overindulged in the family brew. Why go now -- especially right after she'd just been jilted by her fiance?

But Caroline didn't know that her well-meaning relatives had cooked up a scheme. They thought that becoming a mail-order bride for rugged Alaskan Paul Trevor would be perfect for Caroline. And after gazing into Paul's dark eyes, Caroline had to agree. Could she have found an even more potent elixir than grandfather's tea?

  • The story sounded interesting and I had hoped for a good read. Instead I found I wasted my money on a book that made no sense. I do not want to go into too much detail as someone may actually want to read this thing (don't do it). I will say that the characters started off developed but their actions did not match their background and the whole story fell apart. Fiction is fiction but their actions made no sense whatsoever, especially considering it was set in a modern era, not the 1800s! I have never read anything by this author and never will again. The book is a cheap attempt at trashy romance which I do not read and was surprised to encounter in the story.

  • Debbie Macomber is one of my favorite authors. Sh makes the people in her book so believable as real people. There is love and romance. No vulgarity, explicit sex, and that means so much to me. It means her books are so good, you read a great book for the story, not the vulgarity and explicit sex!

  • Refreshingly, we are invited to Alaska. Quite unlike most of her other books, this one takes place in a small town in Alaska. We are drawn into the Alaskan life as well as into the unfolding story of a mail-order bride. The series of ups and downs, finally, bring us to a happy conclusion. Great characters and well written.

  • I bought this as an EBOOK, and was greatly dissapointed that is was only a short story, as I have read a lot of Debbie's books, and like her storys, but this was not presented as a short story when I ordered it.

  • The plot was totally predictable. The characters were completely childish and broke down because they found out their spouse had a previous boyfriend/girlfriend?

  • All of Debbie Macomber books are always a delight for me to read. I have never been disappointed. And beside she lives not far from me .but that's not the reason she writes such good books. She just has away with words that I love to read. I loom forward to my next one.ASAP

  • This book was interesting from the very beginning. The characters were well written as was the story line. I found myself being able to visual the places and characters as the story unfolded.

  • I enjoyed the book. I can't handle any crime or hardship readings anymore, just sweet stories with easy reading. I liked the Alaska setting and the little twists to the story. And getting it on Kindle is special. Makes it easy for this 96 year old lady to see and handle. And any reading I do must have a happy ending. Enough sadness in the world!!
