Start reading The Twilight Lord (The World of Hetar Book 3) on your Kindle in under a minute. I found the beginning of "The Twilight Lord" to be much darker than I like and filled with what I would call distorted evil porn. Just not my cup of tea at all. Thankfully I got past all that and the story progressed in a lighter vein with only a few darker episodes.

The Twilight Lord (World of Hetar). Author: Bertrice Small. Notes: Item in good condition. This is the 3rd book in the Hetar series and it does not disappoint. Lara finally finds a greater enemy than Gaius Prospero and Jonah

The Twilight Lord (World of Hetar). Lara finally finds a greater enemy than Gaius Prospero and Jonah. The twilight lord Kol is truly villainous and evil and Lara is every bit his match. Excitement, suspense and romance abound as is usual for Bertrice Small. She has to be the most amazing romance writer I have ever found. I look forward to the rest of this series.

Meanwhile, Kol–the Twilight Lord–revels in his victory. The exquisite Domina is now in his possession, and her powers will soon help him to conquer first Hetar and then Terah. But Lara will not stand for his treachery, even as she is seduced by his charisma. She calls on all of her strength-and the passion in her heart-to once again rise to the challenge of her destiny. The third in the World of Hetar series has plenty of political intrigue, some fantastical characters, and lots of Small's unique brand of hot, boldly descriptiv. omance. Booklist on THE TWILIGHT LORD.

He was Lord Jonah, the emperor’s right hand, who had long ago been the emperor’s slave. But Jonah was far more clever than his master. He had not sprung from the lower classes of Hetar, despite his unfortunate circumstances

He was Lord Jonah, the emperor’s right hand, who had long ago been the emperor’s slave. He had not sprung from the lower classes of Hetar, despite his unfortunate circumstances. Indeed, he was the son of Sir Rupert Bloodaxe of the Crusader Knights and his lover, the lady Farah, a Pleasure Mistress who was now rumored to be the next headmistress of the Pleasure Guild. His mother had come from a wealthy Midlands family and was blood kin to its governor, Squire Darah.

Lara, Domina of Terah, has mysteriously disappeared whilevisiting the New Outlands. The Dominus is frantic to find hisbeloved wife, but when no trace of her can be discovered,Magnus Hauk turns to two strong allies—Prince Kaliq of theShadows and his mother-in-law, Ilona, the most powerful ofthe faerie queens. And why?In the Dark Lands, Kol, the Twilight Lord, revels in his victory. The faerie woman Lara is now his possession, and her powerswill soon help him to conquer first Hetar and then Terah. • I am a picky reader, and to be quite honest, do not bother ever going to the romance section of a bookstore. I'd rather read books about learning foreign languages or of a technical nature..however, when Bertrce Small comes out with a new book, everything gets dropped and I either order (even pre-order)or go purchase it right away.

No one can take you into different worlds like Ms. Small. I have enjoyed every single one of her novels. She has the ability to make historical figures like Henry VII and Elizabeth I so real, as well as make you escape into fantasy realms, such as this one, The Twilight Lord. You almost feel as if you are some invisible spirit, following Lara around her adventures and feeling her emotions.

For those of you like me who work in a corporate world with all those adult family responsibilities and like to mentally escape when needed, I HIGHLY recommend any one of Bertrice's books. There is nothing better that to treat yourself to one of her books and keep it for years, as you will definietly want to read them again....

  • Ms. Small introduce me to the world of Historical romance and the joy of reading in high school. It was her book that make me hunger for knowledge, that I read any thing that is place in front of me that holds my interest. I love this series and have been looking for book 3 for several years. It was a joy of get my Kindle to Christmas and discovery the rest of then series a amazing. Lara's journey is inspiring wonderfully written. I look forward to reading about her children and their children and the other outlandish characters in the series. Thank you and I love you ms. Small.

  • If you like an excellent satire, this book is part of the Laura series and does a great job!!! I can compare it to so many things relevant to today that its' sad but very eye opening. I really enjoyed not only this book but the entire series: (1) Laura, (2) The Shadow Queen, (3) The Twilight Lord and (4) Crown of Destiny. My best recommendation is to read them in order so you get a good understanding of what's going on, who and why things happen and how one incident builds on another. Beatrice Small neve fails us with her writings.

  • Although I have been a fan of this author for some time I found this book to be appaling. After reading and enjoying the second book in this series, I purchased the rest of the series. I had to put this one down without finishing it because the main character was raped by a monster and enjoyed it. That was a major turn off for me. Enough said.

  • Have been a huge fan of Bertice Small for many years. Really enjoyed the first and second books in this series. "Lara" and "A Distant Tomorrow". I found the beginning of "The Twilight Lord" to be much darker than I like and filled with what I would call distorted evil porn. Just not my cup of tea at all. Thankfully I got past all that and the story progressed in a lighter vein with only a few darker episodes. I really do like this series and will purchase the next book with the hope that the worst of the darkness is done.

  • This book had a darker feel to it, but it makes sense. I'm in love with this series and I can't wait to read more.

  • I gave this book a rating of four stars because while it's a good read, the story dragged at some points. However, as a longtime fan of Beatrice Small, I was pleased for the most part. I definitely would recommend this book. It is better than 80 or 85% of other books in this genre.

  • Love love love Bertrice Small! I have been a fan for many many years. Ever since she first wrote The Kadin. Outstandingly good read!!
