  • Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street series pulls me in and keeps me hooked to the last page. In this book Lydia's class is to make a prayer shawl. Alix is back to make a shawl for Jordan's Grandma Sarah and to ease her extensive pre-wedding jitters. New to class are Colette and Suzanne. Suzanne owns the flower shop next door and Colette works for her and rents Lydia's apartment since Lydia and Brad have married. Add in to the mix Margaret's daughter, Julia, is carjacked and thrown into traffic. The physical damage heals pretty quickly, but the emotional damage to the entire family will take longer. Also Lydia has to deal with her mother's Alzheimer's condition and get her relocated. Macomber juggles all these story lines in a clear, concise manner so I never felt as stressed as her characters.

  • I can't remember the last time I read a book that was full of romance and knitting metaphors . I absolutely enjoyed this novel. From page 1 to the end I found I was interested in everything in between. If you get a chance, do read this book. Many of life's lessons and blessings can be found within. I hope it will cause you to pause as it did me and be thankful for all of the many blessings that you enjoy , including good health and family.

  • Reading a Debbie Macomber novel is like sitting with dear friends and catching up. Debbie enables the reader to feel as if one were to walk into the novel's "room", there would be a warm welcome. Thank you for such thought-filled characters (so often mirror reflections of ourselves or of our close family and/or friends) all of whom cause one to pause and consider a more compassionate response to those in our lives. Enjoyable and heart-felt writing from a master of the craft. Thank you, Debbie!

  • I LOVE LOVE all the Debbie Macomber books and particularly the series ones ... like Blossom Street. The characters become my friends and it's fun to read about what they are all up to .... some real twists and turns. Enjoy!

  • Debbie Macomber has become one of my favorite authors. She tells wonderful stories, with characters, you feel you know-and grow to love. The plots are deep enough, to keep you interested, but NOT so deep U need to keep notes, to "stay up w/it"! This was a REread, for me. I have read many of her series, but the Blossom St books are my favorites, I'd have to say!

  • I recommend this entire series. It is well written and contains a cast of characters you come to love and want to follow. Besides all that, if you love to knit you will find an added bonus in the references to knitting and the circle of friends who meet through their knitting hobby ..... as many of us experience in our own lives. Therefore, it is a warm, down to earth presentation that you can relate to and will find yourself thinking about the people on Blossom Street and wondering what they are doing now! Very engaging. You will eat up this whole series!!!!

  • I like most of Ms. Macomber's books and this one in particular kept me not wanting to put it down...having read many of her books the characters were familiar to me so I felt like I knew them and they were old friends....Having added new people to the mix kept it very interesting and I like the way they are woven into the storyline...

Being a knitter made it all the better..

  • Really enjoy the ongoing story of the people who live and work on Blossom Street. Interesting people who learn to cope and succeed with their challenges. No violence or vulgarity in these stories and I really appreciate that. Stories of life and learning, which all of us go through. Perhaps one might see themselves in some of the characters and see how they grow spiritually as well as successfully.
