From the author of The Best Day of Someone Else’s Life comes Leaving Unknown—a funny and touching story of a young woman who, while traveling across country, finds herself stuck in the true middle of nowhere, a.k.a. Unknown, Arizona. Great writing comes naturally to Kerry Reichs (she’s the daughter of New York Times bestselling author Kathy Reichs, whose Temperance Brennan forensic mysteries inspired the TV series Bones). • I am obsessed with this book. I have read it so many times over the last few years. I really connect to this story, even though I don't necessarily feel similar to the main character. Kerry Reichs: I feel like she just has a way to reach out and touch her readers through her words. She is a beautiful writer. Even when I reread this book I can never put it down. I am so in love with each and every character. The story is sad and hilarious and dramatic and inspiring. It makes me want to travel and meet new people and grow as a person. The book also inspires me in my own writing. If I could even write one novel that touches people in the way that this book touches me, I could live in peace. Really, it's amazing. I'm completely obsessed with it. Get it! It will make you soooooo happy!

  • I've always loved stories where someone picks up and goes on an adventure, starting over somewhere new. This book was no exception. I not only loved the characters, but loved the strength and independence of Maeve. I did not want this book to end! Don't pass this one up! I'm so happy I didn't!

  • A totally cute book with lots of subtext. Wish I read it in my twenties. As a cancer survivor I got a lot of what was said about those feelings.

  • Very good book. Maeve's journey mentally, physically and spiritually was very believable and you wanted to follow her across country. Unkown Arizona was very cool as were the characters that lived there. Book was different. Not just same old same old. JZ

  • I loved this story! About adventures, misadventures, heartache and love. Learning how to live yourself and how to open up and love others. A sensitive and humorous book.

  • This journey is so worth the trip!!! I️ have made this journey as well and few have described it as poignantly as this author. Thank you!! You gave me hope!

  • This is one of those books with such interesting characters that you can find a small part of yourself in at least half of them! It's also one of those books where you KNOW you should be sleeping, but you can't put the book down because you've got to find out what happens next!!

  • Once again, I was surprised by an inexpensive Kindle book. It's a fairly light story - sometimes you need something less dramatic. I found it to be entertaining & I actually read the whole thing in one session. The characters were well developed, and the story line was fairly unique. I liked to so much I bought another one of the author's books. Read the book description, then read the book!
