  • I'm a kindergarten/first grade teacher and my students love this book! The premise of the book is fairy tale characters call up Dragon Pizzeria to order some pizzas. Based on the toppings on each pizza, the kids guess which fairy tale character is ordering the pizza. They love the silly and yucky pizza toppings described and they had an absolute blast guessing which fairy tale character ordered each pizza. I originally got this book from a local library but I had to purchase a copy for my classroom library because my students love it so much!

  • LOVE this book, it's a super cute story and illustrations are fun and bright! I had to get a 2nd copy, that's his much my kids love this book. It's perfect for interacting with the kids too.

  • 4 yr old grandson loves this one as he has helped his Mom prepare home made pizza! He laughs at the pictures and has memorized a good part of the book. He likes to read it over and over!! Great FUN!!!

  • Really great book. My kid loves it!

  • Delivered in great condition, timely and grandson is thrilled. Thanks

  • My 3 1/2 year old daughter and I checked this book out of our local library. After we had checked it out three times, I decided to go ahead and purchase a copy to give the rest of the kids a chance! It is a cute story with beautiful artwork! My daughter asked the other day if all pizzas are made by dragons!

  • Mary Morgan, Dragon Pizzeria (Knopf, 2008)

Cute, but shallow, book about a couple of dragons who open a pizzeria in fairyland, delivering pizzas to all the usual suspects (the game of the book is for the kid you're reading it to to guess which particular fantasy character is getting the pizza). It's not a bad little conceit, and honestly I suspect I'd probably have been more impressed with it had I not read this directly after Jerry Pinkney's The Lion and the Mouse (probably the best kids' book to come out last year, if not in recent memory) and were I not so tangled up in Bill Willingham's lustrous (and very adult) Fables series of graphic novels, which treat many of these characters in a decidedly different way. (It does make me wonder, though, where the giant from Jack's beanstalk is in the Fabletown world...) If cute is your main requirement for kidlit, then by all means pick this up to add to your child's collection; I've never found that where kids are concerned, the appeal of guess-the-person-place-or-thing books diminishes one whit over time, so as long as your kid gets a kick out of it from the get-go, it'll bear repeated readings. ***

  • This is my grandson's favorite book. After checking it out from the library many times I finally bought it so we could read it every time he comes over. He loves guessing what fairy tale character the pizzas are for. We love looking at the many zany ways the pizzas are deliverd. We have even made our own pizzas after reading the book. The nursery rhymes about the pizzas are an added bit of fun.
Illustrations are wonderful and the colors are lovely. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Grandmother of five wonderful little ones.
