A raisin is a dried grape. Raisins are produced in many regions of the world and may be eaten raw or used in cooking, baking, and brewing. In the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia, the word "raisin" is reserved for the dark-colored dried large grape, with "sultana" being a golden-colored dried grape, and "currant" being a dried small Black Corinth seedless grape.

  • My 2 year old granddaughter picked this out at the library. After we read the book once, she said to me "I'm grape and you're raisin". I knew then I'd have to buy it! This book is sweet, short enough to keep the attention of a toddler and the illustrations are entertaining. This will be one of our favorite books to read for a long time!

  • I randomly picked up this book at the library for my 3 year old. It's such a cute book that I want to buy it. The way the grandpa and child interact reminds me of me and my grandfather. Definitely recommend this book to others.

  • My daughter loves this book! Would recommend it for any child with a loving relationship with their grandparents. Very cute pictures...very funny!

  • I'm the grandmother so the grandkids and I found the narrative to be hysterically accurate. We found ourselves referring to some of the lines as we went about our lives. After I read it to them, the kids asked their grandfather to read it again and then asked their 12 year old brother to read it. Illustrations are fine but not exceptional.
