Noel learns what it was like to grow up in the country without television, telephones, or cars, when his grandfather tells him stories of his own youth many years ago
  • This book was very educational and give the children a bit of history without being too deep, but it also made the children think about all that we have now (i.e. TV, telephone, working freezers, bathrooms in the house) and how different things were then. The story was well written and told in a cute way. I would recommend this book for kids over the age of 5 so that they can relate and understand.

  • I purchased this book for my kids when they were a lot younger and just fell in love with the story and the life like illustrations that made you feel like you were right there. Toyomi Igus is a brillant writer and Higgins Bond flawlessly brings to life each character and scene from the front of the book to the back of the book. Brillant!
