Despite her selfishness, Harriet is forced to share her candy with her younger brother when she runs out of places to hide it
  • Back in early October, I was trying to think of a gift to send my friend who has a 2 year old granddaughter, when I remembered reading HARRIET'S HALLOWEEN CANDY to my own children many years ago. Imagine my delight when I discovered Nancy Carlson's treasured book was still available in 2013. I immediately ordered it and sent it on its way to my friend who had nothing but positive feedback about how much her grandchild enjoyed Harriet's adventure. The whimsical illustrations and the message in the story still applied in today's world. I am so thankful to Nancy Carlson and to Amazon for making this wonderful book available! I will always remember how Harriet divided her Halloween candy into similar groups and how she forever altered how my own children learned to share and do the same thing with their Halloween candy forever after.

  • Better condition than even expected. Fast shipping. My girls love the book. Thanks!

  • just what i wanted and in good condition

  • A great read aloud for Halloween.

  • Nancy Carlson's hilarious tales of Harriet strike a chord with our family. It's as if Nancy Carlson wrote about feisty Harriet and her easy going brother Walt after watching our home videos. Love all of Harriet's adventures. Thanks for bringing them back. If you have not been introduced to Harriet yet.... Get going. Smiles abound.

  • Brings back lots of memories of when my kids were young! I'm sure my friends baby will like it as much as my kids did.

  • Loved this as a child and find it still holds up as an adult. Great story and great illustration. Bought it for my niece and nephew for Halloween and think it is something that they will appreciate year after year.

  • I bought this book on the recommendation of some of my girlfriends. I thought it would be a good book to discuss handling halloween candy. Instead it shows the main character hoarding her candy, sharing only one piece for which she doesn't care, and in the end getting a stomache ache. I would have preferred a book distolling the virtues of sharing, moderation when it comes to candy, and the other joys of Halloween. This book brought none of that.
