  • This series of 6 books is a wonderful set for early chapter book readers. All about a dog who solves mysteries, including the one about how he "lost" his family and ended up in the P-O-U-N-D, and of what became of them. The dog, Buddy, has several character traits that repeat throughout, such as his habit of forming lists to review what he knows and what he must do next-each item accompanied by a paw print rather than a number. Kids thoroughly enjoy such touches in the format.

I bought this first book for my son to read aloud to our grandson. At age 6, he loved it and looked forward to each book in the series. Now he is reading it on his own and enjoying it all over again. Made for great birthday and Christmas gifts.

  • I got this book for my 8 yr grand kid. Two thumbs up per the kid. Needed next to no help on my kindle. Vocabulary was age appropriate for 2nd into 3rd grade.

  • Written on a level for a 6 or seven year old, this book has a contemporary flavor and is ideal for a young readers. Our hero is a dog who is looking for his human family (minus the mom who deployed in the National Guard).

  • This is one of the 20 books nominated for the 2011-2012 Bluebonnet Award. I ordered all 20 and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived within a couple of days; in excellent condition. I have ordered from Amazon many times and have always been pleased with quality of products.

  • My daughter used this for a book report. It came quite quickly, and she enjoyed this book. She is in 3rd grade.

  • So, what happens next? And how do I know when the sequel will be available? Do you have a site that posts upcoming books??

  • My 7-year old granddaughter really loved these Buddy File books. She is an avid reader, but they really held her attention and is asking for more.

  • This is a book that both girls and boys like. It is a chapter books and can be read by 1st graders is good reading skills.
