Mystery01 - The Mystery of the Burnt Cottage-Blyton, Enid. It was at half-past nine on a dark April night that all the excitement began. The village of Peterswood was perfectly quiet and peaceful, except for a dog barking somewhere.

The Mystery of the Hidden House is the sixth in the Five Find-Outers children's novels by Enid Blyton. It was first published in 1948 by Methuen and was illustrated by Joseph Abbey. Pip, Bets, Larry and Daisy mistake Ernest "Ern" Goon, the village policeman's nephew, for their good friend Fatty in one of his disguises.

The Find-Outers is a clever mystery series from bestselling author Enid Blyton, and perfect for fans of The Secret Seven. Fatty, Larry, Diasy, Pip and Bets are forbidden to solve any mysteries this summer. Then they meet Ern, Mr Goon's nephew, and can't help giving him a few false clues.

And mysterious things are going on there. Mystery of the vanished prince by Enid Blyton. The Hidden Assassins by Robert Wilson. Mystery of the disappearing cat by Enid Blyton. Ern comes and tells this to the other children and they get excited. Fatty is courageous enough to go out to the house at night and watch the mysterious things. Thus, in the end, they are victorious. and they tackle the criminals. I liked the book much and it is full of mystery and adventure. The courage of the children is amazing.
