  • One of the more humorous and beautiful books. I originally bought it because it written and photographed in my home village. Dare's brother and my dad were good friends and she autographed a set of her books for my little sister. They disappeared at the hands of our adoptive mother. When my sister mentioned these books last year I decided to order her whatever I could find; I told her, "Wouldn't it be funny if I bought back some that were yours?" Hasn't happened yet, but maybe one of these days... You'll love all of these books - be sure to have at least a few. This is one of my top favorites.

  • I was glad to see this book republished. BUT, this is the 2nd book of this book I purchased. This copy the picture quality is poor, like it was a copy of a copy, some picture are dark and hard to see. I had purchased the book a few months ago and the picture quality was much better than the copy I received this time. The story is wonderful, but I would rather it cost a little more and have a better quality print as the photos are as important as the story itself, if not more

  • lovely book.

  • Just what we expected

  • This was a book for our granddaughter who loves the story and the great horse pictures! We enjoy this little doll series. Thanks!

  • These books are timeless! A girl and her wish for a pony and her determination to get it. Good lessons and great photos.

  • Favorites books as a child, I wore the library copies out. It is so great to read these old favorites again. I loved the stories as a child and now appreciate the art as an adult.

  • I find the Edith books lovely. I like that she learns a lesson in most stories.
