Truth. Lies. A century-old mystery. What a tangled web…

  • This is a tough one. There's a lot to like about this story, but the things that I didn't like counteracted all that.
The biggest problem is...I didn't like Greg. Right from the start, I didn't like Greg, and he was written where his personality adjusted to whatever direction the story took.
Then to hurt the story fuller, Adrian does something incredibly stupid that hurt the character, as far as I was concerned.
Anyway, Adrian has paranormal abilities. He can see and communicate with spirits of the dead, and can move things with his mind. He has magical powers and he mostly uses it to please his bf during sex. At least that was something different.
The sex scenes are relatively short and not always overly descriptive, so that's good.
It could have been so much more.

  • Once again I am impressed with one of Ally Blue's stories. This particular one is connected to the Bay City Paranormal Investigations stories but is not part of the original storyline and is not centered around the original characters. It is almost ten years in the future and is told from the third-person perspective of Bo's son, Adrian. I feel as though this story could stand alone, without someone having to have read the prequels. The take on the psychic aspect was very fascinating and I felt it played an important role in the substance of the story. It is suspenseful and funny and has an elusive air of mystery in the ghost story side of it as well. The romance between Adrian and Greg is perfect! Their dynamic is very realistic and entertaining to read. I felt as though I wanted to be right there with them! This story kept me glued to my kindle until I finished it and I am not abashed to say that I thoroughly and gleefully recommend it! It was a budding blossom that unfolded to create a beautiful flower at the end! I hope any who read this takes my advice and buys this book! You won't regret it...

  • A good story and I liked Adrian and some of the other characters in this book but every story has its flaws. Why I gave it a 3 star rating is because the one flaw is the other main character...Greg. through the story I really didn't like him, he acted like a jilted girl most of the time. Which really just grated on my nerves. I also didn't trust him, something was off on his character and I couldn't shake the feeling. He lied, held back and kept secrets, he couldn't even trust Adrian on the simplest things. I found him to be selfish and manipulative. He would twist everything around so it fell at Adrian's feet, taking none of the blame. I accepted him at the end but only because he accepted Adrian and it was a happy ending.

  • Part ghost story, part growing romance in Carolina college setting. Shy physics student psychic and theater major rebounding from abusive relationship. Start of mystery series with ghost hunting elements. Pretty good proofreading except says hunting through October newspapers for news items after a death on Halloween. Halloween is October 31!

  • It was ok. This a book about gay guy's which is fine with me but not too sure the story itself was all that interesting.

  • Excellent story. I have only just discovered this author and I'm glad I stumbled on this book. It is engaging, warm, at times amusing and spooky to boot. Fantastic writing, great characters, I felt an affinity with them straight away. Couldn't put it down. Brilliant stuff.

  • I just finished reading it and I love it and want to read more about Adrian, Greg and there adventures, I can't wait to get all the books in the series so I can read them over and over again!!!!

  • I don't know what I was expecting from this book but what I got was a beautiful love story. Lyndon and Cassius love story along with Adrian's and Greg's were really great. Add in a haunting mystery and you gets this fantastic book.
