A PRESCRIPTION FOR A LONG HAPPY LIFE FROM DR BLAND By A Customer This book is a must read for all ages.

Bland exposes myths about aging, describes the potential aging can offer, and puts forth practical ways to keep mind and body sharp.

The expression above also employed antimetabole; the phrase years to your life was transformed into life to your years. As mentioned previously the earliest strong match appeared in a 1947 advertisement for a book by Edward J. Stieglitz: The important thing to you is not how many years in your life, but how much life in your years!

Life might swing unpredictably one year to the next. Experience might vary by accident of birth. And as lifespans lengthen, we age more slowly than we once did, reaching the yellow leaf, as Shakespeare put it, after ever more seasons.

Life might swing unpredictably one year to the next. I simply hunted for passages about age, and steered clear of those that seemed less true than tidy, preferring, say, Updike to Twain, Plath to the Dalai Lama. And though the majority of the passages came from libraries I scanned online, and not my everyday reading, they somehow seemed familiar to me, true to my own life; when I read the words of Donald Justice, that.

A study found fast cyclists lived up to five years longer than those who cycled at a slower pace – and the speed . What matters is your own perception of intensity, leaving you a little breathless.

A study found fast cyclists lived up to five years longer than those who cycled at a slower pace – and the speed was more important than the duration. The 20-year study, involving 5,000 healthy people who cycled every day, found men who cycled quickly survived . years longer than those cycling the most slowly. He said the intensity of the exercise – not the duration – was the key to maximising health benefits, but it hadn’t been recognised in official guidelines in European countries.

We want to make your stay comfortable Then he took out his pocket-book and extracted a thick white envelope .

We want to make your stay comfortable. Anything you want, just say so and it's yours. You've got some good friends in Washington. I don't myself know why you're here but it seems the authorities are keen that you should be a privileged guest of the Government. Then he took out his pocket-book and extracted a thick white envelope which he gave to Bond. There's a thousand dollars in there, Mr. Bond. Let's please say no more about it and,' he added, as Bond continued to hold the envelope dubiously in his hand, 'I am also to say that the disposal of this money through your hands has the knowledge and approval of your own Chief. Bond eyed him narrowly and then grinned.

Many of us would like to live a long time. It’s not just seeds that are important; your diet needs to improve if you’re going to live a longer life. A visit to a doctor each year can save you a lot of hassle

Many of us would like to live a long time how to live longer? . Fruit and vegetables are important, as are oily fish and different grains. A visit to a doctor each year can save you a lot of hassle. For example, if you have high blood pressure or if you’re at risk of diabetes, your doctor will put you on a diet that can save your long-term health. If you do not know that your body is ailing, you will continue to subsist on a diet that is only worsening your condition and shortening your life.

Bland exposes myths about aging, describes the potential aging can offer, and puts forth practical ways to keep mind and body sharp.
  • great book - good condition

  • Interesting book, I knew the author and knew his views so was interested to see what he had written.

  • This book is a must read for all ages. The views of Dr Bland are very relevant to our society and how to make the most of our lives. He is incredibly witty and truthful when he states the only truths that we can be absolutely sure of; some day we are all going to die, but we're not dead yet! After reading this you'll want to pass it on to your family and friends so that they can experience the knowledge and infectious zest for life that Dr Bland expresses. I would have given it 10 stars if I could have.
