I first met the author, Carolinda Witt, in 2005 when she introduced me to the "5 Tibetans". Carolinda's T5T book, a modification of the original Five Tibetans as a solution to the back and neck pain problems some people experiences doing RITE 2 is very well done.

I first met the author, Carolinda Witt, in 2005 when she introduced me to the "5 Tibetans". At the time I was sleeping badly, feeling sluggish and not enjoying life at all. I was immediately impressed with Carolinda's caring attitude and willingness to show me the five simple moves that would change my life. Plenty of illustrated photos of every rite to ensure they are performed properly as well as clear modifications to help prevent pain.

I completed Carolinda’s programme and I continue to practice T5T every day, without fail. I love it and I actually look forward to the practice every morning. Eating 100% raw may not be for everybody, but even if you eat just one raw meal a day it can have a huge an impact on how you feel and it will boost your immune system. I am 55 years old as I write this and I have had a very varied work life.

  • I used library copy of this book arrived a day ago. For a ten year old book, its in almost new condition.

    I am very familiar with the Five Tibetans exercises because I started doing them around 1990. The original book or reprint of the original book had you do three repetitions of each of the five movements per week, adding three more reps each week until you are up to the maximum 21 reps in week seven. The need the build slowly over seven weeks according to the book I first read is because the five rites if performed daily starts a detox process. If you do too many reps too quickly, you run the risk of releasing too many toxins into your bloodstream, causing you to fell ill because your body is over burdened processing the toxins out of your system.

    After I got to week seven, some really good stuff had happened. I just felt good! Not that I felt badly before I started, but now I seemed to hum! Hard to adequately explain what I am talking about because 99% of you reading this will have no experiential reference point of what I am talking about to grab a hold of because prior to this, I had never felt this humming sensation either. One unexpected benefit to note, while I always could sing, but after say five, suddenly I could hit higher notes with ease instead of straining my voice box to hit them. I could even hit one higher note I had never been able to sing prior. I was so impressed with the results doing the rites gave me, I gave my then girlfriend and two longtime friends copies of the book as Christmas presents.

    However, all was not perfect. My back started killing me! Years earlier I was in a car accident, causing injury to my lower back. The leg raising reps required in RITE # 2 caused my lower back disc area to become inflamed after week three and performing the rite became increasingly difficult afterward with the addition of three more reps weekly up to 21 reps in week seven. I continued painfully for an additional three to five weeks in agony until I could not stand it any longer and stopped. The achieved benefits of course left me, including my augmented singing ability bit by bit.
    So a few years later I attempted to perform them again. Like a Swiss timepiece, in week three my back stated to protest...loudly. This time I stopped and never returned to them...until now.

    An added and I suspect extremely beneficial bonus is Carolinda's addition of a special and well research by consulting experts breathing process to be perform after completing one rite and before moving on to the next rite will add even more life force (Chi, Prana, or Ki...take your pick) into your body for optimized benefit. I commend Carolinda for including a critical nuance of the movements that I have seen omitted in almost every YouTube video of the Five Rites performed by so called wanna be experts. Its the monetary tensing or "squeezing" of the body at a certain time of the movements.

    If there is one issue I have with the book, its that I do not believe most persons can complete properly performed Five Rites in only ten minutes. I used to complete them going at moderate speed in eighteen minutes and that was about twenty six years ago and no extra breathing process in between going from one rite to the next. After I get back up to speed with them and my body starts readjusting, I do expect I will be able to complete the entire process in 12 - 15 minutes.

    Thanks to the clear contents in this book, I look forward to welcoming the Five Tibetans back into my life.

  • I am a Yoga teacher and consider this book and treasure! It is well written and very specific with excellent photos (even of what not to do!). Based on the Five Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation, an ancient series of Yoga movements used by monks, this book not only simplifies, but offers detailed suggestions that make it a wonderful resource for those who want to understand not only the whats, but the whys. T5T builds the series safely and tells how to make modifications for success at any fitness level or any age. The T5T website has a free poster that is most helpful when learning the moves.

    My personal experience, guided by this book, has been most positive. I started with 3 reps each and built to the 21, no more recommended. The incorporation of these moves with other Yoga stretches has become my daily practice. I am delighted with the energy, strength, and stamina that has grown with my progress. I have taught some of the Five Tibetan Rites in Yoga classes taking care to adapt for individual needs. My students and I are over 50, and we enjoy not only the moves, but the benefits in well being! I highly recommend this book for helpful, clear and thorough information on a most powerful and effective Yoga workout.

  • Carolinda Witt was very helpful in getting me started with T5T and corresponded daily to help me work through issues I had from recent surgeries. The customer service has been fantastic and the video and book are excellent an informative. I continue to get stronger, younger, and more balanced each day. I am very happy that I found this wonderful teacher after seeing her on youtube. I would highly recommend this for anyone no matter your physical condition. You will improve with daily practice.
